LTC Bridgette L. Hickey is a native of Beatrice, Alabama. She enlisted as a Private in the United States Army Reserves on 27 April 1989. She matriculated to the rank of E6 and was selected for Direct Commission to 2LT on 2 November 2001. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Telecommunications and minored in Marketing from Alabama A&M University, Normal, AL in 1993. She earned a Masters of Arts Degree in Public and Private Management Program concentrating in Healthcare Management from Birmingham Southern College, Birmingham, AL in 2005. She is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Healthcare Services from Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
LTC Hickey’s military training includes, Primary Leadership Development Course, Automated Logistics Course, Administrative Clerk Course, Multi-Channel Transmission Systems Operator- Maintainer Course, the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Officer Basic and AMEDD Captain Career Course, Healthcare Medical Material Course; Acquisition 101 from the Defense Acquisition University, Healthcare Human Resource Manager’s Course, Property Book Manager’s Course, Observer’s Trainer’s Course, Commander’s Safety Course, Battalion Commander’s Pre-Command Course, Supervisory Development Course, Fiscal Law Course, White Belt Training Workshop. She also completed Command and General Staff College, Intermediate Level Education Course, in July 2012.
LTC Hickey values her foundational years as a NCO. She attended Basic Training in Fort Jackson, SC, and attended Advanced Individual Training in Fort Lee, VA. Her military assignments includes: Special Project Officer, 5th Medical Group, Birmingham, AL.,Company Executive Officer, 4/398th, 100th Division, Bravo Company in Huntsville, AL; Hospital Adjutant, 4206th US Army Hospital, Chattanooga, TN; HHD Commander, 5th Medical Group in Birmingham, AL. While assigned to the 427th Medical Logistics Battalion, Fort Gillem, GA; LTC Hickey held the following positions: Battalion S1, HHD and Alpha Company Commander and Property Book Officer/S4. She served as the Battalion Executive Officer, 429th Multifunctional Medical Battalion in Savannah, GA; S4 OIC, 332d Medical Brigade, Nashville, TN; Facilities Planner, 350th Civil Affairs Command, Pensacola, FL; Chief, Logistics at 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) in Atlanta, GA., Commander, 7229th Medical Support Unit, Nashville, TN, S3 Operations Officer, 7458th Medical Backfill Battalion, Ft. Bragg, NC and currently, the S3 OIC 5th Brigade 94th Training Division, San Antonio, TX.

LTC Hickey is married to Curtis Hickey, Sr. and together they have 7 children and 3 grandchildren.
